Welcome to The Held Space. I’m so glad you found your way here. My journey into Occupational Therapy began at the University of Manitoba, where I was drawn to the profession’s unique ability to blend the art of daily living with connection, science, psychology, and holistic wellness.
After completing my Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) in 2017, I gained invaluable experiences in the nearly 10 years I’ve worked with people across the lifespan and in many diverse settings such as schools, Indigenous communities through Jordan’s Principle, hospital and geriatric rehabilitation, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to hone a deep understanding of how our well-being and health is shaped by our connection to self and others, our nervous system’s capacity to regulate our emotions and behaviour, and how we are impacted by the context of our environments and communities. It continues to be an immense privilege and honour to hold space for each and every client, team, family and community I’ve had the opportunity to support.
