Occupational Therapy at The Held Space is centred around our mission; guiding you in returning to yourself, wherever you are on your own unique journey. My intention is to empower and support you in cultivating a meaningful, purposeful, joyful, and intentional way of living and being, that is unique to you; in alignment with your soul’s purpose and true essence.

We meet you exactly where you are at and you can soften knowing that you can show up, as you are. You may find your way here because you aren’t showing up the way you want to for yourself or others, in motherhood or at work, or in other roles within your life; you may feel disconnected; anxious; depressed; lacking motivation or feeling uninspired in your life; having difficulty doing the activities you want and/or need to do, or perhaps are having difficulty feeling present and actually experiencing life while you go about the various activities within your day. Difficulty with planning, organizing and creating systems that function for you are another common area. Alternatively, you may be seeking support to proactively prepare for major life transitions or anticipated changes such as those related to pregnancy and motherhood, navigating relationships, identities and roles, career or menopause.

As OTs, we recognize that health and healing are deeply connected to the land. We live and work on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene, and the homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge our presence on this land and our responsibility to its history, its waters, and its original stewards.

I come to each session with deep care and compassion, blending various modalities and theories for an integrated and holistic approach that is client-centred. I have a special interest in somatic therapy — working with the body in a bottom-up manner to support regulation and felt-sense of safety which are foundational to optimal living, is immensely impactful. I believe and value that you are the expert and wisdom keeper of your own body and life.

Pregnancy, Matrescence & Motherhood through Postpartum and Beyond

Supporting women throughout the perinatal period in preparing for and adjusting to the massive physiological and identity shifts that come with mothering — mental and emotional health, physical health, equipment, environmental assessment, birth recovery, pain management, and more. Includes parent coaching & support and embodied birth preparation (1:1 and seasonal workshops).
